It's a tiny program that runs on YOUR computer (like a helper that stays at home). It reads messages from Telegram, sends them to your AI, and sends the reply back. You're the server! Nothing goes through our servers.

Part 1 — Get a Free Twilio Account (5 min)

Go to twilio.com/try-twilio and sign up free No credit card needed! They give you free test credits. Use your email and create a password.

Verify your phone number Twilio texts you a code. Enter it on their website. This proves you're a real person.

On your Twilio Dashboard, find these 2 things and paste them below:
🔑 Account SID — starts with "AC..." — shown right on your dashboard homepage
🔒 Auth Token — click the 👁 eye icon on dashboard to reveal it, then copy it
Part 2 — Activate WhatsApp Sandbox (2 min)

In Twilio's left menu, click: Messaging → Try it out → Send a WhatsApp message This opens the "WhatsApp Sandbox" — it's a free test WhatsApp number Twilio gives you.

Join the Sandbox from your phone Twilio shows a number and a join code (like "join silver-apple"). On your phone, open WhatsApp, send that exact join code to Twilio's number. You'll get a confirmation message saying "You're in!" ✅
Part 3 — Set Up the Aizom Bridge (3 min)

Same bridge as Telegram! If you already set up Telegram, just skip steps 6–8 below. Just add your Twilio keys to the existing aizom_bridge.py config file.

Open aizom_bridge.py in Notepad and fill in your Twilio details in the CONFIG section at the top: "twilio_sid": "ACxxxx... (paste Account SID)" "twilio_token": "xxxxx... (paste Auth Token)" "twilio_from": "whatsapp:+14155238886" (Twilio sandbox number)

Part 4 — The Webhook URL: Using ngrok (4 min)
🤔 What is a "Webhook URL" and why do I need ngrok? When someone messages your WhatsApp bot, Twilio needs to deliver that message to your computer. But your home computer is "hidden" on the internet (behind a router/firewall). ngrok is a free tool that gives your computer a public address — like giving your house a street address so the postman can find it. Without ngrok, Twilio can't reach you!

Download ngrok free from ngrok.com/download Click your operating system (Windows / Mac / Linux), download and unzip the file. It's just one small program file.

Sign up free at dashboard.ngrok.com and copy your auth token After signup, ngrok shows you a command like ngrok config add-authtoken YOURTOKEN — run that in your Terminal first.

Open a NEW Terminal window (keep the bridge running in the other one!) and type: ngrok http 5000ngrok gives you a public URL that looks like: https://abc123.ngrok-free.app — copy this URL!

Go back to Twilio Sandbox settings and paste your ngrok URL as the webhook:
In Twilio: Messaging → Sandbox → find the field "When a message comes in"
Paste this (replace with YOUR ngrok URL):
https://abc123.ngrok-free.app/whatsapp
⚠️ Add /whatsapp at the end — this tells the bridge which channel it is

Click "Save" in Twilio. That's it! 🎉 Now send a WhatsApp message to the Twilio sandbox number. Your AI agent will reply!
⚠️ Important to know about the free setup: • The free ngrok URL changes every time you restart ngrok — you'd need to update the Twilio webhook each time
• Keep both windows open: the Aizom Bridge AND ngrok
• For a permanent URL: upgrade ngrok ($8/month) or use a cheap VPS server
